New HVX Stop Motion Music Video

That's a really nice piece. Could you discuss your workflow and such... Nice compositing indeed..

Yeah, the stop-motion for live-action was REALLY cool. Maybe I've been living under a rock but I haven't seen anything like it.

I loved the car transition from toy, to the band inside a real car! Awesome.

As far as the sketch drawn footage, and them singing, I am guessing you shot the film normally and just dropped frames in post filling in the gaps by extending the remaining frames, yes?

Nice job. REALLY liked the car

Yes, I couldn't put the band through "real" stop motion.

I took 8 passes of each performance section
Made each pass 12 fps by creating a still image every two frames.
Then I had a choice of 8 stills per every 2 frames.

Same with the baby and the older lady... anything that could be old school stop motion was.

The hand clapping scene and the "crowd" scene are real time.

The only instructions I received from the record label was KILL THE DRUMMER. He is leaving the band. The guitar player who shoots him in the video game is his real brother who is also in the band.... his name is Mountain.

The man to baby to man scene is my small nod to Svankmajyer.

thanks for watching.
