New HVX scene file project - I'll do all the work!

I've been kinda bummed about Kodak killing some of my favorite stocks, especially the EXR variety...and it got me thinking; what if we could assemble a collection of 35mm frames of chip charts and grey cards, scan them and then program scene files for the HVX to replicate their look?

Some of those old Kodak stocks had a look and feel to them that I miss. The warmth, the softness, the grain, the contrast - all had a place in the arsenal. Now with everything going video, and the excessive sharpness and soulless accuracy of the latest Vision stocks - I feel that the some of the magic of the process is lost.

5279 and 5277 would be great to start with, but if we could catalog 4K scans of all the stocks if nothing else we'd have them for posterity. I'm digging now to see what I can find in my own personal collection. I've also contacted Kodak but they don't keep any of those things in house. So here's where I could use some help; I need chip charts, grey cards, or whatever you might have lying around, 16mm AND 35mm. I'll pay for samples if I have to as well as the postage to get 'em here.

Anyone who can contribute is a saint. When the project is complete, as a sign of my thanks, I will be more than happy to share the results with the community.

Feel free to contact me if you have any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks!
