HPX250: New hpx250 shipping in freezing weather: Should i be concerned?

My new HPX250 is set to arrive on Monday. As of today UPS tracking says it's at the local depot. My worry is that it's sitting in a parked UPS truck in freezing Canadian weather. It's currently -13c (8.6F) and it looks like it'll be staying there until it arrives on Monday.

Should I be worried about the camcorder freezing and causing internal damage? I am also a but concerned about condensation but I'll be leaving it boxed up over night until the temps equalize.

Anyone who bought a new HPX250, was the camcorder sealed in plastic from the factory? That will alleviate my condensation worry a bit.

Any replies will be appreciated, I wish I looked at the forecast a little more closely before I placed my order. Ah well. haha

Cheers,

-JJ

I worked with my HMC 150 outdoors @minus 57 in the Arctic. It never froze but the batteries sure didn't hold a charge for long. I think you are ok other than UPS delivery, they are my least favourite service.

That's a relief, thanks for the reply. UPS has been fine for me in the past. I avoid the ground services at all costs though. UPS or Fedex Expedited air is my personal preference.

It arrived safe and sound. There was dried water spots on the outside of the lens which took quite a bit of effort to remove carefully. Condensation on the outside at some point I'm guessing. B&H did a great job packaging too, better than I'm used to. haha
