New HD100 footage

Thanks jimagine.

That CA is a little harse though! I think it is the worst aspect of the camera.

Ya but honestly, it's at the longest end of the zoom under the most likely circunstances for any lens given the composition and lighting.

The still before that Ono shot is also at the longer end hand held and it looks like a 35mm still with absolutely no CA.
This is a good lens with obvious long lens things to be aware of...but it's taking great pictures.

I'm curious how clean the footage looked as compressed .264 on other monitors.
Some of the original footage is better than anything I've seen from any of the cameras so far.

I can only post little behid the scenes clips because it's the Olympics this next week and it wouldn't be kosher to be showing what we actually shot.

Anyway, I'm posting a CCed clip that looks pretty 3D full res and will look great if you half the windpw size to compensate for the .264.

I'll post that url in a bit....I'm having a drink and kicking back, the last of the Olympic wpork went out Fedex this evening.
I'm on extended break.

Look forward to seeing more jimagine,

Stills are great, because they don't take so long to download and my laptop can't really handle h264 anyway. High quality JPEG are my favourite

The CA from "lacing" shot is very bad, at the end of the shot you can see pink on the top and green on the bottom of the white wall, and the zoom is not at full range. Was the iris fully opened?

yes, blows away the Panasonic in DV

yes, blows away the Panasonic in DV

From test comparison footage posted elsewhere on this forum (a DVD downloadable - by Nate Weaver - LA I think, it was footage of LA Metro Trams at a station) the HD100 looks far better to me due to it's gamma-detail-blackstretch-highlights handling vs. the DVX100 series

Thanks for the footage. Except for the CA in the stills, ouch! (Chromatic Abberation for those who don't understand this abbrev.) the QT footage looks more like what I sort of expected. I'm saying "sort of", because every time I see new footage out of this camera I continue to be amazed at how "film-like" it renders imagery, very "un-video like". I've been a DP for over 18 yrs. This camera looks great and closest to film-like rendering from any other camera I've seen in this price-range. I'm ordering mine today! Not kidding!
