They are still available in stores, yes. But as for "selling tons"? The latest sales figures I've found are for 2005, which are the lowest they've been since 1996! Music sales overall are up, but that's due to downloading. And that begs the point -- when people think that DVD is just gonna "disappear" because HD DVD players are technically available for sale, it simply shows no understanding of history. Standard-def DVD will be the dominant disc delivery system for at least the next 8 years, according to Kagan.
