Matt's right - this place been not only a huge wealth of technical info for me, but its also quite the inspiration to keep on honing your craft. And the people do kick ass. Its more of a way of life for me than a forum anymore.

I love both getting and giving. Sounds a bit wrong (in certain ways) but I stick by that comment. I love to give advice and help people jut starting in the craft. At the same time I love receiving help and information from others.
This place is wonderful. Full of newbies and vets, and everyone just shares laughs and education/experiences.

Some of these have no real meaning except to be experiments, I've spent some time playing around with ACID music loops and some green screen compositing. A few are obviously some of my daughter's creations.
I think the best of the bunch is the Obsidian submission. 7th Son/Obsidian is a podcast I listen to that asked for viewer submissions, and this was mine. The writer used it for his final video in the series, which pleased me. It involves kids and bazookas. All you have to know is that it is based during a hypothetical 2-week long, nationwide blackout and the chaos that ensues afterwards. I had a lot of fun making it.
I've been reading the posts here and am impressed with the quality of what I am seeing. My goal was to find a bunch of like-minded folks who knew more than I did, and my hope is that this will push me to continue to improve my own skills.
