GH5 New GH5 5K "Open Gate" Mode with Firmware 2.0 ( 4992 x 3744 pixels )

It remains to be seen however if more pixels translate in a higher effective resolution.

If Panasonic's down-scaling algorithm is efficient ( it probably is ), then it may not show much of a resolution increase, but it might help in extreme conditions to combat moire ( I've only had one GH5 4K shot show a tiny bit of moire in an electronic street sign ), and it will give you more room to play with when cropping in post. Having more options to draw upon is always a good thing in my book.

Isn't ISO100 a psuedo iso?

Not a "real" one? Isn't ISO200 the native sensor value?

The current GH5 iso100 clips highlights heavily.

The new 4992x3744 anamorphic mode is 4:2:0 , not 422 like the Youtube image shows.

GH5 has already a higher resolution 5184 x 3456 pixels 5.2k video mode.

I tried the 5.2 mode and I am did not see any indication the actual resolution is higher and it seems to me the dynamic range is lower than using UHD/4k.

Is V-Log L supported for the new 5k mode?

One bummer is that 6k anamorphic does not work through HDMI while recording internally, the camera simply can't keep up.
