GH13 New GH1s with V1.2 firmware still available if anyone wants in

There are some GH1s hackable still around in some shops, need to look pretty hard as they are slowly vanishing, I will put some more links up when I verify a current batch still for sale...

great, PLease let me know. I think I'm going to buy one. Does the gh13 have banding issues in video like the gh2 does??

Can do, yes. A mixed bag. Mostly only at higher ISOs, and only on some cameras. It's partly curable with sensor light exposure, say some people, showing evidence that convinced me it's a genuine remedy (search on this site). GH13 rocks! Get one - you'll love the image quality!
 
Did everyone who ordered from the ebay link in the first post in this thread get their cameras? I bought and paid $565 before they went up to $625 and still not shipped.

The ebayer Steve Kwok of SK Digital World now tells me he has no stock as he sold mine to someone for $625 after i bought mine 10days ago. He also says he is waiting on more hackable units from Panasonic. Yeah sure he is, he claims he is asking Panasonic to send version 1.2. in place of the unhackable versions he just received. sounds like BS to me.

I think we all know where this is heading after 6 backwards and forwards emails over the last week.

Beware.

What this guy is doing is selling cameras he does not have, there are only 2 GH1 sales recorded as delivered in his feedback since early Feb till now.

Latest email is he says Panasonic are sending him more V1.2 Hackable cameras and will know THIS week.
 
Yes, I ordered 3 x GH1 over a 3 week period before I posted the link, they were all hackable, the Ebayer told me that he had a limited number of hackable GH1 left, I posted the info in good faith to this forum so others could take advantage..
All my other cameras were sent quickly via UPS, and most other members here got theirs too..
I decided to order another one last week and have had the same response.. After emailing to find why I had not received a UPS tracking number he said he had been sent the wrong ones from Panasonic, and was waiting to get stock..
I asked for a refund $625 via PAYPAL and he said to give him 1-2 working days...
If any other users are in the same situation please let us know here...
I can only apologise to everyone who is in limbo, I am too out of pocket so if he cannot supply, we will need to lodge a complaint with ebay, as the listing clearly stated the cameras were hackable, this should also be covered by PAYPAL...

I sincerely hope that this is sorted as I feel quite bad that some of you have laid out the money and have not got the goods...

This is actually the first time in 10 years I have had any problems with Ebay suppliers..

Will let you know as soon as I get a response....

I got my cameras immediately... purchased two on Feb 28 and received on Mar 3rd. No taxes, duties, etc. Paid a total of AU $1,150.00 for both. Both are hackable.
 
UPDATE: I sent a very stern email to the supplier last night, I advised him that I had a lot of angry people on this forum who had paid money in good faith and that we would all be sending complaints to EBAY if problem was not rectified immediately...
I got a full refund $625 from PAYPAL this morning, the supplier has apologised and cannot supply any V1.2 GH1 camera...
I am hoping everyone else who purchased on this forum has also had a refund...
Please advise here if you have not had any response...
Looks like the new hackable GH1s is now becoming a rare beast...

Anyway all's well that ends well I guess.....

I've yet to get my refund but have also sent a stern email. Hope i get the same response.

From what I see only two people that ordered did not get their cameras. I, for one, am grateful for the original post. It certainly helped a lot more than it hurt. I just wish I had bought more
 
It's the way he conducted himself selling them and shipping them for $625 (including my unit) after i had bought and paid $565 from the original listing that i object too. That stinks. I'll buy one elsewhere when and if he refunds the money.
 
All's well that ends well... just got my refund so i may consider purchasing from this gentleman again in future. I hope both he and i learned a lesson.

Now still need to buy another GH13...anyone?

I was wondering about selling mine to get a GH2..........mine was purchased in the UK last January, but I live in Australia..Perth.
It's black no marks on it but the SD card door pops does not close securely so i use a small strip of masking tape to keep it close.

That's good news, glad to hear you got your money back rambooc1..I hope any one else who was waiting for a refund got reimbursed...
There are still 1000s of GH1s around the country people have purchased for photography only.. These owners are totally unaware of the video hack scenario so I imagine once the GH2 is in good supply in Australia a lot of folks will be upgrading so keep your eye in the local tading post etc..
There are some new hackable units available on Ebay but I am hesitant to post any links here after this debacle....
