I have been using this 24p GOP 3 patch with my GH1 for a month now and it is very stable with excellent detail in motion and shadows. It will peak up to 65Mbps and works well in low light scenes. It produces an average of 45Mbps. Best used with SanDisk extreme 30Mbps cards.

Please give it a try and see how it works for you.

Hi! I thought PTool v3.62d was meant for GH2 . Did tou really use this patch for GH1 ? I tested it using the latest ptool for GH1 (3.5.6.0). It crashes when the bitrates exceed 50 Mbs with my panny lenses.Works fine with FD lenses. Beautiful in low light for sure.

Yes i'm using v3.62d for my GH1 patches. v3.62d can run 2 seperate versions for GH1 and GH2 firmwares. Load in GH1 firmware GH1__132.bin for it to work in GH1 mode and GH2__V10.bin for GH2 mode.
Its been stable for me in 99.99%. It has locked up only on very high detailed static scenes such as brush/folege, with the camera locked off for 20 seconds or more. Its been great for everthing else I have filmed. I dont film static shots of high density objects that often.

hi,
I played on your patch and tried some shots.
Scenes with low detail are very good and the camera is stable.
But scenes like trees produce severe artifacts, or the camera crashes.
I use a SanDisk Pro 45 Mbps. I continue to try.

regards
Marek

Hi,

I've tried this settings: Scenes with low detail are very good. (35-58 Mbps) But outdoor scenes not successful! Crash!!!
I use SanDisk Pro Class10 card.
