I am having trouble installing the new firmware.
I downloaded the "patch" and the "private" to the SD Card
-camera keeps saying ":check card"
Please help a computer illiterate!!!
 
If you're using a Mac, you need to execute the patch app on the card. It will remove the errant hidden files.
 
After you copy the private file from your Mac to your SD card, copy the the patch app over to the card. Once you've done this double click the app and once the app is "finished" eject the card and run it as per the instructions.
