Cary, just curious. In what way does 800ISO work better than 400ISO in V-Log-L? Dynamic range? Color reproduction? Noise?
I have only used it at 400ISO.
 
How about some clips - or links - to show us GH5s potential buyers how bad high rate VFR 1080p aliasing really is?
 
I've tested the new v2.3 auto focus and can confirm that it is just as bad as before at 60p. Almost completely useless for critical focus in virtually any instance I can come up with.

I think the improvements were in 24 and 30p mainly.
 
If true, the irony is it should be better at 60fps as AF systems supposedly have a harder time with less frames.

I am not saying its better in 24 and 30p then in 60p. I was saying that its better in 24 and 30p then it used to be in 24 and 30p.

From what I know its always been decent in 60p. If you are harsh on auto focus performance you might think it just sucks period regardless of improvements though.
 
It's not less responsive in 24p than 60p, it reacts as quickly but just drives the focus servo more slowly after it does react. It needs to be this way, smoother and slower in 24p for more film like appearance. If it snapped focus the way it can in 60p or does in MF touch AF, I would be upset.
 
Panasonic GH5 V2.3 Firmware With Matt Frazer

Unfortunately my 12-60mm f/2.8-4 lens wont be with me for another week or 2. Would have been nice to try out the firmware with that lens on a few events that I'll be shooting in the next few days. Guess I'll have to use my old 14-140 lens that came with the GH1.
