This is a teaser trailer for my next fantasy/adventure feature film entitled: "RED" It's set to be shot spring '10 and am currently developing a detailed outline to be written into a script.

Target Production: Spring '10
Target Time: 50 minutes
Equipment: RED's SCARLET S35
Budget: TBA (goal 50k)
Website: www.littleredridinghoodthemovie.com (will be up in about a month)

This is a preliminary teaser to gain interest, it will not be released publicly until I acquire funding for the rights to the music.

Shoot me any feedback you guys can give me to make this project the best it can be. Thanks!

The trailer was done in After Effects and end titles in Blender. My wife did the VO and is currently fighting me to death to star in it. haha:

7 out of 10

But just because there are too many words, it would have been nice to at least see some images instead of a long ass scroll.

And the titles at the end are on screen too long. "Red", "Coming in 2010", etc. Tighten it up.

But the look of the titles and effects, as well as the music; are awesome.

You wife did a good job on the voice over, but the music overshadowed it a little, I would remix and turn her audio up.

50 Minutes? Wow. That is kind of no-man's land. Too short to be a feature, too long to be a short film.

I would either make it longer (80 minutes) or much shorter. At $50K budget, I would make it a feature. There isn't any money in shorts.

And your wife is beautiful. Can she act? If she can, then I vote for her to be the lead.

Thank you sir! I'm actually aiming for 50 minutes to get into Sundance. Their minimum is 50 minutes. I've been working on it as a 45 minute "short" but once i saw the 50 minute mark at Sundance, I just threw it in. My goal is Sundance, but should i just beef it up to 80?

When i have time i'll speed up end... I did it all on my 2 year old macbook and to be frank... IT TAKES FOREVER TO RENDER.. ugh... haha

I was really wanting some nice pristine lighting and wanted to put a bunch of the budget towards it. The Camera is coming out of my own private money, so the full 50k would truely be towards production.

My wife has had some formal training but has only been in a couple commercials, but is mostly in some print ads. I'm just nervous to use her as I don't want work to interfere/follow me home. Still debating.

Thanks for the input tho! I appreciate it.

Yes, you're never going to sell a movie that's 50 minutes. 80 minutes is really the least amount of time that you'd have any chance of making that 50K back.

Very well done, I like it. The VO ran for too long and I just lost track of what she was saying. Also the title "Find out the true story" is way too dark against that background, I could barely read it.
