New F3 Top Mount Accessory Plate

This outfit has an amazing array of rails bits and pieces. Some really thoughtfully designed stuff. Very impressed and will try them out.

First company to figure out how to mount a Pix240 on the dumb grip side of the camera solidly wins. Off the back on rods doesn't count.

I have been using the Berkey System F3 base plate and it is awesome. The perfect solution. It has a set up for lightweight 15mm gear as well as Arri spacing on the bottom plate for an Arri bridge plate so you can use full size zooms or studio width support. Can't ask for much more. Here are couple photos with a 24-290 zoom and Arri 6x6 matte box on the F3 as used on a recent shoot.

I also have the Berkey F3 top mount cheese plate. This has become a must have for me. I attach my monitor, Nano, Cine Tap on it. Works way better than the silly threads on the camera body. Brilliant!

If you look at the Berkey site you will see all the other parts they make for about any camera. While there check out some of the videos and pictures of the Berkey rigs made for the last decade by various special effects guys from around the world. It's pretty great they are making camera parts now.

I've ordered the cheese plate and a 15mm socket for the plate to mount my Zacuto arm. Looking forward to it.

The holes are not silly but the cheese plate is so much more usable and adaptable. Pretty resonably priced too.

Seriously, Nate have you seen the back of the Pix240? I am figuring there have to be places to either attach a BEC plate or there should be some 1/4" 20 or 3/8" 16 holes on the back.
