alright, just watched it.

pretty cool, as I was watching I was really hoping there was a storyline of some sorts, but as far as I could tell, it was purely performance with some randoms shots here and there.

Towards the end of the video the images of the band were a lot darker, and I really liked this look a LOT better than the beginning shots where everything is bright. I didn't like the lights being in the shots very much either. I saw a couple shots where there seemed to be some fog, or dust flying around...? The fog/less light combo may have been really cool, I found myself wanting more of that.

And at the very beginning with the shots of the wood floor, it would have been really cool to have his foot slam down/shake camera when the music blasted in.

Sorry if I seem really critical, just my thoughts on how I think it could be improved. Great job though!

thank you.. I was thinking about trying to darken some of the earlier stuff. Also I'll try binning some shots with the lights in.

Cheers!

Great comments.

just another thought-
Looking at the grabs, I was expecting it to be more of a poppy-punkish sound (I think because of the amount of light used).
Funny how light can set the mood, eh?

Good luck with it!

Strong vid man, I enjoyed it very much. Strong editing... some very nicve visuals, and I really liked the track. All in all.. I'm vey impressed. Keep it up.

I Like It, It Looks Awesome. How Did U Get It To Look That Speed? Did U Shoot In 24 And Then Change It After?

I too was hoping for a story line. The individual shots kicked a lot of ass. Put together, it looked like a portfolio. I know it set the tone with the music, but the mass amounts of cuts and "out of focus...in focus" shots didnt seem to have meaning/place. Also, it looked like in some of the shots, the singer was moving with out walking. was he on some kind of wheels while shot? And damn I hope you had water for those guys. That room didnt look very big. With everyone moving around and all the lights, someone could have died!

no one died.. thankfully.

What do you mean with the speed? It's all in 25p for Pal with a pretty fast shutter speed.

cheers for the coments.

Hey, Beno. Great work, nice cutting. Can't say I like the song, but hey, I'm old :) Question for you: I think I notice an effect that I've been trying to figure out for a while. Almost fast motion but not. Almost jerky, but not. Hard to explain. I see it about :47, as the singer brings his hand down. Did you do anything special with frame rate in post?

Not my type of music, but the red water shots were cool. The band looked way too crowded in that space. That bugged me. I couldnt make it all the way through. partly cuz that music at 2am is too much.

I think the motion you are all refering to is just 25p for PAL (ie 24p)

There is one other kind of frame rate, shot in interlaced and slowed down by 50%.. you can see it with the bassist at 29secs

Cheers :)
