I am about to place my order and have narrowed it down to a few choices. What do you guys think about extended warranties and are most transferrable?
Here are my current considerations:
EVSOnline: $3379 (not sure of extended warranty options can't find prices on the site)
Armatos: $3559 (free lifetime loaner policy, lifetime extended warranties available includes annual cleaning - not sure of cost)
Profeel: $3388 (5yr extended warranty $299)
B&H: $3499 (Mack warranties $99 for 2yr, $169 for 4 years).
In the past, I have not been big on purchasing extended warranties. However, most all major camera purchases have been from Armatos, due to their lifetime loaner policy. This is great if you are in a bind...If they can't fix your cam in 48hrs, they'll send you a loaner. Anyway, with this particular purchase, I am on a tighter budget which makes those extra dollars more of an issue than normal.
I just wanted to get a feel what everyone's general opinion was in reference to extended warranties (in particular, the ones mentioned above).
The 1yr parts and labor (more importantly 90days on heads) manufacturers warranty from Panasonic is a bit too short for my liking.
Thanks for any advice you can give,
Andrew
