New Dvx User with a question

Hey all new user here, and member:happy:
Just got my dvx100b a week ago and am in love with this camera. My question is how are you mounting accessories such as a wireless etc. Also has anybody had any hands on with the bracket 1. If so what are the pros and cons of that mount? I also would appreciate any under the radar mounts that I haven't stumbled across.

On a side note for other new users get Barry's book. Between that and feasting on this forum prior to getting my camera I was very comfortable using that camera right out of the package.

You see the metal plate on top of your handle on the dvx? Well when you buy a shotgun mic say, you can buy a mount for it. This mount will slide in to that metal plate on your dvx (the hotshoe I believe it's called) and then you slip your mic through the mount (called a shock mount.

When you get an external monitor, some come with mounts, and it just slides into the hotshoe once again.

Not sure if this answers your question,

Robbie

Lol. No it doesn't but I totally appreciate the effort. I need to mount my wireless receiver in a good spot. There used to be a very affordable bracket on ebay but I can't seem to find it.

It's a samson micro 32. I know a machinist who can probably give it a go. The Bracket 1 looks like it can do the job. I do a lot of wedding videography so I'm trying to keep the dvx from getting bogged down with accessories. Thanks for the replies.

does it have a belt clip on the back?

yes. Thing is I shoot with a fair mix of monopod. I get that thing pretty high up . Worried about having it get yanked off. By myself or a drunk guest flailing their arms around.

how about putting it on the hand strap on the tape compartment, it makes'em look fancy.

That just might be my short term solution. I don't have my wireless with me at the moment but I will try that. Thanks.
