G g2films New member Feb 3, 2008 #1 So I got my DVX100b yesterday. What would be the best film-like settings to also edit in Final Cut Pro? I took some test shots in 24p and in a timeline on Final Cut they were very pixelated and poor quality....suggestions?

Robbie Comeau Como's back. back again Feb 4, 2008 #3 Ya, I second that. Maybe you captured it wrong, or your settings are all wrong. You should be editing in a 29.97 sequence (Not that this has anything to do with pixelation, or quality loss) and when you capture 24p, you need to capture it as 29.97, cause that is what it is on the tape. For film like settings, you can shoot 24p. Shoot SQUEEZE for the widescreen look, and you will already have a nice image going on. A lot of the film look is in lighting, and color correction...
