New DVX user!...cemetery shots

Hey everyone! Just got my DVX a few days ago, and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Been doing a lot of tests and stuff to try it out.
I shot some footage on b&w 16mm a while back at a local cemetery for a project, so I thought I'd take the DVX over there and see how it compares to the film. Here's a few grabs from the 24p DVX footage:

EDIT: Just signed up with ImageShack- hope this works now!

Apparently, I exceeded the allocated data transfer of my geocities site. I haven't used Geocities in years for an actual web page...the server sucks. The pics should come back up later...

Looks good. That looks like a creepy cemetary. They look a bit grainy though. was that on purpose?

This looks really neat.. Not sure what kind of responses you're looking for. Critique?
What processes do you use and filters to get the look? Was this all done in post?

I think it would look better with a little more contrast. Some shots seem a little flat to me.

That last shot would look really cool if you stood back a bit (20+ feet from the branch) and then focused on the brances. Would create a cool DOF and a creepy branch look. What kinda vibe are you looking for here?

Cool shots, I agree with John, does really resemble Night of the Living Dead.

...Day of the Dead is my favourite :cheesy:

I agree...I need some zombies! Anyone really good with makeup??

These pics are untouched, straight from the camera. The only thing I did was desaturate them in Premiere. I agree, they could use a bit more contrast; they are slightly too gray for my tastes.

The grain is most likely from having the detail cranked up a few notches. This was really just a test to see how the DVX would compare to the 16mm film I shot earlier...it ended up being pretty close, but much sharper, with less contrast. (Of course, the loss in sharpness of the 16mm was most likely due to the fact that I transferred it using a 1-CCD Elmo telecine projector).
