New DVX Package/Rebate

Hi everyone,

I know everyone has wanting to know what Pansonic was going to do about the Rebate that expired yesterday and what we were going to do today. Well I just released the Marketing Bulletin and now I can tell you all.

We are now including with the DVX an additional piece of software. You have probably noticed the banner ad running around here, and I have to say I have been pretty impressed with the product, so now we are going to include it with the Magic Bullet and the DVX Book. (US Authorized product only) This is a $129 value and now it is included with your registration of the camera.

The rebate had to be lowered a bit to even out the cost, but still at $350 the rebate is a good deal, cause now you get over $900 worth of extras, $350 rebate, $395 for the Magic Bullet Editors, 69.95 for Barry Green's DVX Book and now the Instant HD for $129.

Heh. I felt like I was playing the lottery yesterday as I let the rebate expire. LOL! I'm so close to buying a B it's not funny, but I decided to let the date go by without purchasing -- held my breath. Looks like it wasn't a big deal to wait, although I'd probably rather have the $50 than Instant HD, but I can only speak for myself.
 
Once again, Panasonic's ahead of the bell curve in knowing what their customers need.

This is a fantastic piece of software and quite necessary for many broadcast outlets.

Well, maybe not for retail, but point taken. BUT seriously, my post was meant to be a VERY POSITIVE post. I was very happy to see that panny was still taking care of guys like me with competitive pricing and offers. So, thanks. (BTW, I've spent more money than I care to admit on panny products over the years on the consumer side, the last big ticket items being a GS400 and a monster rear-projection LCD a year or so back, so I'm definitely a believer.) BTW, I was dissapointed with the direction the follow-on to the GS400 went, but whatever. I personally consider the GS400 to be one of the ALL-TIME best consumer cams ever made.
 
Hey, has panasonic listed any kinda release about this deal? And has it already started? Haha, like tainted I also decided to wait, well not so much decided as much as 'forced to'.

Oh well, it's great to know that the opportunity is still out there.
 
It started effective today, June 1st. Jan said in her first post on this thread that she has just released the marketing bulletin.
 
Due to the fact that Panasonic Europe never seem to do these great promotions I had a thought.

I am in the UK. If I could source a DVX100BE PAL version at a US supplier and get it shipped to the UK, could I still get all the 'stuff' you mention (Including the rebate) and would it be guaranteed? (Assuming I used an authorised seller).

Ideas?

Sorry it is only for US Authorized units.

Aw man, I just bought a DVX last week. It arrived on the 31st, and I registered for the rebate that day. I suppose I'm the one who missed out.

Well, as long as I keep the cam cradled in my arms, it's impossible to get upset about anything.
 
Hi Noble,

Perhaps you could swap with Tainted? I tried to mek them of equal value, so not many would be upset, but I really flet that I needed to change it, and give it a face lift. It seemed that with all the focus on HD, this was one sure way to help those guys/gals that could only afford the DVX.

Anyhow, why not touch base with Tainted, he said he would prefer the $50 to the software.

Jan I have a Question:

Can we still get the rebate if we buy the dvx100b from profeel.com?
 
profeel is not an authorized dealer, so what they sell may or may not be authorized depending on who they bought it from.

And now I'm trying to find the rebate form that goes with the date I bought, which was in May. I can only find the new rebate which is fine by me, but I don't want to lose the original UPC by sending it in with the new rebate form and getting rejected. Anyone know where I can get the previous form, or if the new form is definitely acceptable? This is my first time on this board, Jan, are you a Panny rep? Do you know the aswers great and small?

You need to go the website that is on the piece of paper that came with your DVX. Don't have one? Did you get a DVXBook and Magic Bullet in the box? If not, look in the Warranty packet, there should be a Thank you letter from Panasonic. Your purchase date on the website will determine your rebate.

And please we do not want this website to be published, so anyone that has it, just please keep it to yourself. Thanks,

Yes, I got the dvx book with disc, red giant software, warranty card, yellow page about usb, request to take a survey, user man, everything else, but I don't see a thank you letter anywhere. What should I do now?
