New DVX owner.. capture issue

I just received my first DVX100b and I have been recording as much as I can. I'm not sure if I missed something along the way but when I capture I am getting alot of dropped frames. I am not using the DVX as a deck but it plays back just fine on the smaller camcorder and on home TV. Out of a 1hr tape I get about 15000 dropped frames. As far as I know I am shooting at 60i and capturing at 29.97. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Sony video capture 6
number of clips: 27 clips
frames dropped: 15,267
average frame rate: 26. 06 fps
average data rate: 2.98 mb/sec

What are you capturing to? Do you have a lot of other programs running at the same time? Things like that are generally hard drive or processor issues.

In any case, try capturing using the DVX as well to see if you get the same thing.
 
I am capturing to C drive with nothing running except the capture program. I will use the dvx to see if I get another out come. Thanks
