What was your post production for getting such a great looking video on vimeo? My DVX footage looks nothing like that....

I guess the work lights... work!

Love the low light on the singer (the "flashlight" look)!
Could you have done the opposite too: hung a light directly over him (the "interrogation" look) ?
Nice work on the lead guitar CU!

What shutter speed?
How many takes on the song?

Great stuff!

Chuck

Damn thats nice, real super clean, great use of the 1/1000th shutter especially with the drummer.

Keep up the great work mate.

Thanks a lot you guys. Yea, there is a bit rate of 4000. the shutter on this one is 1/500th. Everytihng else is zeroed out except master ped of -15, color saturaion of -7, and something else is -7, but i'm too lazy to look at my cam right now. the cinematrix d is my favorite setting because it gives you a little bit more into the shadows. Not really enough for anyone to notice, but I like it. My powermac g5 got dominated with 19 layers of video/takes for this song. I have another music video (it hasn't been released yet) where i pushed the color temp in camera and it totally muffed everything. There is tons of colors bleeding and it just looks bad, but the band will think it looks artsy or cool. Those scene settings will kill you if you push them too much. I use the scene settings so much because I hate rendering crap loads of color corrected footage.

wow thats one of the cleanest videos iv seen around here...what did you use to CC?man this is awsome!!!

Great video, great song!

So am i to understand that the footage in the video was all done in camera?

Yea, everything. I just shot, captured, cut and exported it. No brightness or contrast added, and no magic bullet. I am too lazy to render stuff like that.
