New DVX Comedy film

Interesting trailer... although I have to say that for a comedy the trailer itself didn't seem to have too many jokes in it (though the definition of 'breakup' line was pretty funny). It started out well, with the titles... funny premise.

As far as tech stuff goes, I thought the music was WAY too loud (at least on my system).

I think the trailer would be better off being a tad shorter, and tighter.
But that may just be me... at over 90 seconds it seems a bit long for a trailer.
I'd try to keep it at a minute... or at the most 90 seconds.

By the way, I love the shot of the mail-order bride in the crate with the briefcase - nice image.

I agree that the music was way too loud. OVershadowed the dialogue. Looks like lots of interesting locations and a good cast. Keep us poste.d

It all seemed in order except for the lame circle fade and the cat eating sushi.

Take that out and you're gold.

Oh, and the music needs work. Your whole sound department does, actually. It would have been really really good with good sound.

Yes, I'd fix the music level and get rid of the cat & sushi (couldn't figure out any kind of connection, even ironic, with the last line of dialogue). Also it looks like the color needs some work. But the acting is good, the script seems quite witty ("Well, it *is* a long book"), and I really like the compositions of the shots. The trailer definitely made me interested in the movie (I immediately went to the web site).

I am with you Luis,

I didn't find many jokes in the trailer. The music was a bit loud. My speaker is having some problems, so I couldn't really testify what others have said. It was just causing a lot of noise on my speaker. I will try with other speakers.

It looks like this trailer is for a long movie and making something that long is an accomplishment in itself. What are you going to do with the movie after you make it?
Hope the music isnt that loud in the movie...

Thanks for all the comments so far. It all helps. I had no idea the music was so loud as I've only played it on my laptop. Anything else?

HectorSD,
I've been submitting it to a few festivals (Cinequest, Sonoma Valley, SXSW). So I should know in January if it gets accepted anywhere.
