We have quite a few new product releases coming this next week or two.

This image has our DV Rods with focus control attached as well as all some other VariZoom stuff.

Also coming is our new MX series dual arm stabilizer and our new ZG Rig camera support. Looking forward to feedback on all new stuff and we will show it to the DVXUSERs first.

Just looking at that shot, if the camera is at interview height, do you have to be an NBA player to see the monitor?

I've been looking at the zero gravity of a while...
 
it is interesting. I tried to find some videos of it being used, curious as to how pans/tilts look with out any sort of drag adjustment. But the rods are at a very good price.
 
Oh please please.. can you adapt the manual focus control to work as a manual zoom control? For the HVX200? HMC150/HPX170? All the prosumer Pannys really need it!
 
I should mention I use a Varizoom Zoom/Focus/Iris remote and use it so often I occasionally forget where the camera controls are. I like it a lot.

Have you tried the PZFI? It's awesome it does zoom focus and Iris for around $349.00 You can see in this months Videography a coach or trainer is using it on a setup taping the Bengals.

Now the HVX has I believe only 4 zoom speeds and if you are trying to move slower than the the slowest speed manual will be the only way. But I don't think your going to get a great zoom turning a focus style handle.

Yeah, it's the fixed zoom speeds (3, I think) that are the problem, and the inability to ramp the zoom nicely. I'd love the precise control of something like tbhe manual focus control... but as you say, I haven't tried it!

I can't wait to show it. I will probably donate one for the next fest. It is like nothing else and I had to get a patent pending before release to protect in other countries. Taking pictures tomorrow and will try to post soon.

New Zero Gravity Rig

New Zero Gravity Rig

This is the new Zg rig or zero Gravity Rig the list price is $1,199. This our new patent pending design which allows the camera to be exactly balanced so that can freely tilt and hold any tilt position. Also note that with this design the camera is unaffected by the shock absorbing spring pod because is rests on the curved rod which is independant of the camera platform.

The new ZG Rig also has more adjustment then any other rig we make. There is of course many hours of machine work involved. i will post more pics in a seperate thread.

It is very cool and the units that ship will be black.

the shoulder mount looks sturdy and nice.
I'm sure you can get great shots with that but I was looking for a more compact one..

Actually this unit can be more compact for travel than others it size including our popular DV Media Rig. You'll see when I post more pics that there is a very wide range of configurations.
