Hi Guys,

Our new DSLRmount has now been released. The DSLRmount has been designed to attach the new crop of Digital SLR cameras that now shoot video to standard 15mm rods. The mount is fully horizontally and vertically adjustable and features a Quick Release Plate and a Tripod Connector with 1/4" & 3/8" threads.

Combine this with our CINEfocus follow focus and we get an affordable and quality solution for DSLR shooters!

Looks great. I like the leveler on the DSLR mount, and that follow focus looks like a freakin awesome deal.

finally a company that sells great product at sensible prices, others should take a note out of your book Wayne, ill defiantly be ordering from you

Looking great with some nifty features!

Price is really right on the mark. I concur that Shoot35 makes great products. Plus their service is second to none.

Now if only someone across the pond in the U.S. would offer products with this quality for the same value.

The info is there but you have to click 'products' on the top bar not on the left side.
Thank you,
Nice product, I wonder if it is a bit too high to attach a friction based follow focus. I was thinking to use a generic clamp for the friction ff, so I guess I'll have to shim it up a bit.
Or, can we take one of those raiser blocks out placed between the quick release plate and the tripod adapter?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your comments, we have tried to make this as affordable as we can :)

The DSLRmount comes with a set of shims so that it can be raised or lowered from that seen in the photo. The photo shows how it is shipped, set to the correct height for a 5/7D so that lens centre is 85mm from rods centre.

The price is right. Hopefully the quality of the product turns out just as good. But for £99 it's worth taking the risk.

Anyone experience with the quality of these Shoot35 products in general?

Quality of my Shoot35 stuff is top-notch. Their lens gears are super BTW.

Only thing that annoys me is that I paid the same amount for two Shoot35 Tripod Connectors to make this one last summer and had to add my own Manfrotto quick release :)

But it has served me well

Hi Guys,

To confirm pricing of the DSLRmount:

DSLRmount: £99 GBP
DSLRmount with 3 Inch Rods: £109 GBP
DSLRmount with 6 Inch Rods: £119 GBP
DSLRmount with 10 Inch Rods: £129 GBP

I am not sure what you mean by handle?

FYI, our CINEfocus follow focus is £349 which includes 1x Lens Gear.

is not designed like RedRocks baseplate because theirs' has a patent pending on it? I'm not dogging Shoot35's design but redrocks design has holes placed accordingly to place screws in so that the dslr wont be able to spin.

But the price looks great, and so does the quality :)

So, would it be best to get the follow focus & the DSLR mount instead of the Redrock one's?
For me, it comes to a $42 CAD difference. (Redrock being the more expensive one)

It is also totally compatible with other gear too, right?

If I were to get this DSLR mount, and I wanted to attach the Redrock matte box, I would be easily able to do that? or would there be a height difference.

Hi,

The choice is of course yours as to which to buy.

The DSLRmount is compatible with other 15mm rods parts and the CINEfocus is compatible with other follow focus accessories and gears that are 0.8 mod pitch.

The DSLRmount is shipped at the correct height for a 5/7D so that lens centre is 85mm from rods centre. This will give the correct alignment to a matte box.
