Just a note if people are having trouble burning a DVD: in OS X, you can open DVD Player, and choose "Open DVD Media" from the File menu. Then select your VIDEO_TS folder and watch on your computer. Not an NTSC monitor, I know, but it works. Love the Israel shots, and the one of the guy riding in the train is amazing.

You can also watch it through DVD player.

Looks sweet Mike. There really is not much difference to justify the additional expense... is there? Certainly not when it's downconverted to DVD.

So glad all that noise business is gone. Sure it sucks in low-light.. but so does a varicam and so does a 35mm cam... BRING ON THE LIGHT.

Got more plans for the site and for the footie?

Hey Justyn,
People are lovin this clip as my bandwidth charts
are jumping off the screen.
The site is busting wide open, come join the fun.
We have a new FTP upload system, real simple to
submit footage! Have a ton of new graphic clips
priced at $29!!

Beautiful work, I like it.
Only one thing: waterfalls (2min:52sec) are too much compressed - I see white water blocks.

I am glad you are watching the video to that level. Now imagine if that was shot on HDV?

HVXguy,

I was downloading your demo when I came across this post and went to your website to take a look. Unfortunately if I try to view any example images by clicking on their thumnials it crashes my browser.

Not a big deal, it happens occassionally, but on your site it happens eveytime - I can't veiw any footage from your site. I'll check things out on my side but I thought you might like to know in case anyone else is experienceing the same problem. You might be loosing potential business without even knowing it. Site looks cool and I'd love to be able to look around.

I'm on a PC runing XPPro and Firefox version 1.5.06

What version of QuickTime? We run Macs and PC with every browser and have not experienced any of those problems. Click on the QT link on the left side of the site. See what happens. Let me know if you experience anymore problems.
Thanks

I'm running Firefox 1.5.06 also and I don't have any problems on the site. You must install QT 7 or higher because you need the H.264 codec which versions below 7 do not have.

I have a question. Was anything special done to the shots? I love the shots from what looks like ITALY. The tone is warm, as it looks like it was shot in magic hour. The cobblestones on the ground give a interesting look. Was it done in camera. And last question.

I burned it to DVD and watched it on my tv and it looked amazing. Does HVX have that sort of 16mm look?

You mean clip 50397? Shot by David Eggerichs??
That was - Jerusalem city streets
David achieves his look in camera for the most part. He said he does minimal CC.
With the right subject and shooter you can make the HVX look like 16MM.

You can enter the clip number in the search boxes to get a description. You can also click the shooters name to see all of their clips.
A great way to show off your work and make it work for you!

Amazing work. I am working on a project right now and I hope your services can provide me magic hour shots of the sun falling down in LA.

I can post a call out for that footage. Do a search for Los Angeles. We also have a Los Angeles category in CITY.
Send me your e-mail and I can send you links to previews as I get them.
