Dark energy camera snaps first images ahead of survey
570 million pixels - Okay but they have obviously crippled it to protect higher reolution cameras they have not yet announced. This resolution is total crap.
Nothing about DR. Likely under 8 stops, I say.
Color space is unknown, but I demand that they increase it.
Will it mount to my monopod?
Their release images of galaxies is so lame. I haven't seen any images but I can expertly assure everyone that they are substandard. My 2004 minoyamanikcan takes better galaxy shots. I blame every image from this camera on PB! Obviously since this is reported in the British press his dastardly hands must be involved. I think I can even make out his Christmas tree in the background of one of the images I haven't seen. As a self appointed expert on 570 million pixel cameras I feel well entitled to make myself feel better about my crap 2004 minoyamanikcan by running this camera, it's company, and PB into the ground. Hey, this forum is cheaper than therapy and no one can see that I am actually 14 years old and live in New Jersey.
(My only other comment is that humor is protected speech under the first amendment)
