An all new Man-Hole episode it coming. We shot a few scenes last night, including a dinner scene. Here are some grabs.

We're pretty happy with how it came out. We lit it with an autopole above the table, and hanging from that, two 400w chinaballs. I wanted to have as much mobility around the table as I could get. And this is the way I'd seen Pedro light table scenes - but with a kino.

Shot in 720p, naked lense. Yes, I did in fact get Timur to give up the adapter for a night!!

This is also the first time I shot some stuff with multiple cameras, because this episode is largely improvised and i wanted to catch as much in each take as I could.

We had some china ball reflections in picture frames on the walls and such, and I am actually going to use this as a chance to practice with AE in getting rid of them.

It was rough dude.... turns out i wasnt sick on set, i was in widthdrawl. i went home touched a 35 lens, and i was remarkably fine.

you know its funny, leah doesnt look right unless shes covered in 3 liters of cornsyrup and Red#4
 
Nice Trailer, actually, Awsome to be perfectly straight forward

Did you use some of the UFO takeoff simulation from an older Jimi Hendrix album as a SFX in the trailer? I grew up on hendrix and swear I recognize the sqealing metal sound at the end from a hendrix album that was near and dear to me in the 70's.

Yeah, it was an off the wall question, i just looked at the horrorfest trailer from the link above. I thought I recognized some the the Sound FX. Never mind.

ha ha!!! Sorry I was lost there for a minute. No, that was all stock SFX I did for that trailer, and pulled video from the horrorfest entries. I think I got some of that SFX from JDS.

No big deal. Unfortunately, when it comes to sound, I have been cursed with the audible equivelent of a photographic memory. It is both a blessing and a curse. Wherever the company got or made up those FX from, I swear I recognize some from an old hendrix album. Mr Hendrix tried to make his guitar sound like a UFO taking off (as well as going nuts with the pan knob on the recorded version) That sounded EXACTLY like a quick clip from it. It was not a real well known or popular piece, but I remember listening to it over and over. (Especially being intrigued the spread of the stereo spectrum in his recording)

Well, we finally got everyone scheduled to finish this up. Here are two more grabs from last night's shoot.

So we wrapped up this episode of our comedy series. we are very happy with it. We are now producing a DVD with the episode, some stand-up from the two comedians in it, and a drunken commentary track. Since we are working with comedians, they are going to take the DVD on the road with them and promote it.

But today, we got the first shots of the NEXT episode. There was another comedian, Carl LaBove I wanted to work with and he was only in town for one week. He's playing in Princeton this weekend, so if you are around there, he's pretty amazing.

Where its at..... I got two briteks and a China ball...... ( VINYL Scratch!) Two Briteks and a chinaball....
 
So we wrapped this up and got it out the door. As always, Timur was invaluable.

Here are four trailers. I cut a separate one for each of the main characters and threw them up on YouTube, MySpace, etc.

I did it this way so each actor/comedian could promote themselves in it.
