I recently uploaded a clip from my most recent film, "The Bride Wore Blood: A Contemporary Western." You can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb80v-r1WYw.

If you're interested in seeing the trailer, visit www.thebrideworeblood.com.

The film was shot on a DVX100A in Eastern Iowa and only cost $600, utilizing local cast and crew. The production was financed by the sale of a 42” Plasma HDTV that my co-filmmaker and I received from MTV Networks.

SYNOPSIS:
A bounty killer is hired to protect a bride-to-be in this contemporary Western. When secrets reveal the past, blood is shed and a deadly mystery unfolds.

Thanks and take care!

Wow, excellent trailer. Did you use an anamorphic lens? From the footage, it doesn't look like you used any 35mm adapter at all, nice. What was your settings, and what did you use to color correct?

No anamorphic lens -- we simply shot full-frame and matted in post. I don't recall our camera settings (my setting have changed since then) but we used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and color correct.

Nice. Dug the trailer. Let me ask you, how did you go about finding actors? I'm guessing they worked pro bono. If so, was it difficult to get them to devote time to the project?

We've held casting calls in the past, but over time, we've established a great network of talent. Since the budget was so low, everyone worked for free. However, everybody was extremely dedicated to the project and production went very smoothly.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
