I have invented and am manufacturing a new type of Camera Stabilization System called The Indy Steadycam, which is now available for sale. I think you will be amazed at how simple, easy to use and affordable it is.

Please check it out and help spread the word.

P.S. I'm new to this whole forum thing so any posting tips will be appreciated.

Thanks. I have had a few DP friends try it out and everyone is genuinely impressed with how simple it is to use. I initially started out just wanting to make something for myself but realized I had something that other indie filmmakers could use.

very interesting, but it has nothing to do with steadycam, if you would'nt know that its shot with this system I would say it's just shot handheld. Don't get me wrong but, because i like the idea, but shooting out of hand with legs and breathing control is more stable than what I saw from the videos.

I think the concept is cool - but i agree, not all the stable - i would have guessed the samples were handheld with a good op

You know what a fishing bobber is?
Its a floating ball that is supported by your line/rod from the top and has a weight under it.
When the weight moves it translates the movement to the bobber to you a fish is biting, it also flows up and down with the waves...
Just something to thing about with your rod system.

Michael, personally I think you are marketing this wrong. ANd this is all only my opinion. There are stabilisers out there that are much smoother that arent that much more expensive.

What I see is a device thats incredibly useful for doing a lot of handheld. THe support looks like it takes most of the weight leaving little for the arms to support, without bending your back over. Meaning someone could operate it for long periods of time, that in itself is extremely useful for many long form shooters who do events etc.

This product is more of a support than a steadicam.

Granted the better your support the better the shot will be, but the term steadicam is so specific to this industry.

I really like the concept, even though it is similar to easyrig.com
I think at the price point it is a great alternative.
I would like to see features added to it like a sping reel to allow the camera to be positioned for low shots. Also most of us use a redrock or similar and weight is an issue for hand held, so maybe a version that can handle about 20lbs
