New camera need help

I just purchased this camera that arrived last night. After taking it out of the box, If I tip it forward and backward there is a noise as if something is loose. It sounds like a marble rolling back and forth. This is not present when the camera is powered up. Is this normal, or did something get loose in shipping?

As you can imagine, getting a new camera that I have waited so long for and not knowing if it is damaged is driving me crazy.

Thanks for any feedback or Help.

Yep.

I understand your tension, and you desire to get an immeditae response to that question, but FWIW it's a question that is asked so often it has become almost a joke. There are a few others as well. In the future if you have a question, search the forums a bit. Most questions have been asked a few times.

Congrats on the new Camera. You will love what it does

Wow, those are the most succint answers to that question I have ever read. Maybe the joke is too old to be told anymore.... :)

I don't know about you all but my camera still makes the noise even with the power on. Then again mine has a marble in it.

So you're not suppose to open the camera and remove that thing clunking around? Oops! Mine is now sitting in a jar, full of fluid, sitting next to my pig embryo. Do you think it's still good? Can I rebuild the clunking sound?

My second post.

Does anyone have the part number for the marble? I searched the forums and no go.

Thanks for all the good info, everyone.

You can add the clunking sound in post, there is a ProTools plug-in for that.
