New camera, black screen!

Hello!

I've read previous comments on your forum about the black screen when you turn camera on for the first time.

I've checked my lenses are fitted correctly and have selected the correct lens check modes (positioned to off) But my screen is still black. I'm starting to panic! :crybaby::crybaby:

can anyone help me!!?
 
.... and if that doesn't help, do this simple test.

Take the lens and lens adapter (optional) off.
Turn the camera on.
Aim the camera at something light. Then something dark.
You should see the sensor detect light.
If you see light change, it means the sensor is working and that you are not mounting your lens correctly

I shall slap myself in the face repeatedly for being useless!! x
