Please let mew know what you think, I need to send the design to the printer soon.

Don't take this the wrong way, but to be 100% honest I don't like any of them. I think they are too busy. I'd suggest ditching the photos (save them for the website) and just sticking to text and solid colors.

Jason,

I am going to have to agree with Chris here. I think you would be better off losing the photos. Or just having one photo there. Plain works. I think the latter 4 designs feel very busy to me. The first one looks alright. But there is a lot going on there.

Hope that helps you out a little bit anyways.

Card # 6??

Card # 6??

Hey Jason,

I think card #5 has the the best overall feel,
but it is missing that artistic feeling.
If you could add the dark on the top and bottom of card #1 to it,
then you would have the perfect card.

Card #3 is nice and artistic, but
but the colors and the design get a little too distracting for me.

These are just my opinions,
take them for what they are worth.

Todd

I have to agree with the others. Ditch the colors and the photos. If you feel like you need to describe "Director of Photography" or "Cinematographer", you might want to use some text underneath the title.

Best of luck.

Honestly, I wouldn't use any of these. Think clean and simple. I threw something very basic together in about a minute. Maybe it will give you some ideas...? Good luck!

While I agree with the others, the first card has some possibilities. I would use the second pic, if you must use a pic, and set your text closer to the way Jared has it.

Thank you all for all your advice, it was helpfull, I didnt get rid of the photo, but I made it smaller, as I did with the text I also toned down the bg a lot, Jared, thank you for your design, it I used your text idea in the new one, I think it looks much better than the first five I put up

That is a big improvement.

Everything looks pretty good except a font mismatch between the two Jason Millers. Also, the "reflected" Jason Miller is backwards. And you might want to lower the opacity on that reflection like you've done with the others.

And double-check your phone number, you've got a different digit in this version.

Couple other minor things, but you're on the right track.

whats the best site to have them printed at? I've seen some cards fro vistaprint, not the free ones, but the "premium" ones and i'm not empressed, I was to get about 250 glossy cards, but I really don't want to spend more than 20 or 25 bucks.

I looked at them to, but read several reviews that in the last year they really went down hill.

I ended up going with goiprint, I got 500 cards, double sided glossy for less than 21 bucks. I'll let you all know how they truned out when they arrive.

this is the design I went wth, i know some didnt like the upsside down text, or th fact that my name was flipped and not shadowed , but there is a reason for that, the same image will be on the front and back of the card, in gloss, that way no matter which way the card it being held my name can be read, and also it will keep peaple from writing on it using it as scrap paper, as i so often do with cards.

That's really good, Jared. And it only took you a minute? Impressed! :)

It's clean, good use of negative space. I especially like the waffles. They look tasty!

I definitely like the waffle design the best. Clean, memorable and tasty. I would enlarge the waffle photo slightly but that is because I love waffles.

Mmmmmmmm. Waffle run off.

In the creative industry this stuff is quite important. The new Waffle cards look good because they are well composed (maybe the name up a little) and simple. But simple is hard :)

If you feel the card represents you and the quality of work you produce then its done its job.
