Guys...this appears to be the most simple thing in the world, but the charging light will not come on to initially charge a new battery. Does the DC cable completely disconnect from the battery prior to charging?
A friend suggested that I reinsert the battery into the charger a few times and cross my fingers....it actually worked. Must have been some dirt, dust, or other on the contacts.
