M - Looks COOL!

Woah, I think I am actually going to check the DVX News section of the site often now. Australian DVX100 feature, I can't wait for the trailer to download. Viva Australia, mate :)

EDIT: That looked pretty cool. I'm not sure if you've totally finished yet but I think it would look cool if you colour corrected alot of it to have a bluish look like in that clip of those guys running down that ramp. Sounds like a cool story as well, I think the blue would suit it and maybe some warmer orange colours in scenes where it is appropriate (ie. not gang type scenes).

Just a suggestion but good work and I look forward to seeing it. :)

really nice work Michael.... are you submitting to any festivals over here in the states where we might be able to see the entire film?

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your kind words about the 'Ra Choi' trailer. It's always very inspiring to hear such great feedback.

The film is still in its very long post production stage. The editor is juggling a few projects at once so we are hoping the film will be finished by mid year.

The completed film is going to be submitted to numerous film festivals. We're focusing mostly on European festivals to begin with but the US and Canada will probably follow by the end of the year / early next year.

As far as we know this is the first feature film in Australia to be completely shot with the DVX100. For some reason this camera doesn't seem to have taken off here as it has in the US which I think is a pity.

Yes it would be nice to have the trailer colour graded and fully sound mixed. Unfortunately the guys who put the trailer together took around 4 months to cut it (a freebie) so to arrange a colour grade would probably take even longer. Due to having to lower the resolution for faster downloading the image has suffered to an extent. However I think it still holds up pretty well and suits the purpose for the website. Hopefully it gives the audience a tase of what's to come.

Thank you all again and keep those wonderful emails coming. If there is any info I can give you (how it was shot, settings, etc) please let me know and I'll do my best to fill you in.

Looks good :) . Like you mentioned there isnt to many people using the dvx here although i have noticed a few people start to use them. Good to see a few aussies on here also ;)

Yeah TreStylez there seems to be quite a few of us on here. I started a thread a while ago to try and find out how many aussies we have here, I think only John Hudson & Bluespider replied, and they aren't even Australian! :)

Nice work! Don't forget to let us know if there's an opportunity to go and see it in Australia. I'm sure you'd get a whole crowd of closet Aussie DVX owners coming along to support you!!

I'm not sure if I read that thread, but I'm Australian living in the States.
