This little jewel looks pretty interesting. I have several of the AS15 Action Cams and they have proven very useful for a wide variety of applications.
The improved AS100V looks particularly interesting (to me) concerning the 50 Mbps XAVC codec, the tripod mount, improved steady shot, higher Megapixel still images, and 200/240 fps slomo options. There are other changes as well.
Does anyone have one? The 6 lux light rating seems to be the same as the older AS15.
The AS15 is a bargain now with prices fluctuating from around $120 to $150 so I don't know if the 100v is worth double the price.
With the 1080 60p update my AS15s seem to do a remarkable job and with better moving image quality due to increased bitrate. I'm curious as to how well the 50Mbps codec would compare (and will CS6 ever be able to edit it).
One thing I noticed when shooting 120degree FOV vs 170 is that the 120 isn't as sharp and looks like it was crop zoomed, particularly noticeable shooting landscapes. I wonder if the AS100V will do better?
