New 64GB SDHC on the Market? Yet?

Isn't 32GB the set standard limit of the SDHC... not actual hardware limitation, but a standard created for this type of cards.
Kind of how the Max limit of SD (not SDHC) is 4GB...
They might just
1) revise the limitation to increase it (and change the standard to something higher) or
2) name it something different, like SDUHC (SD Ultra HC)... just me thinking out loud!!! =)

In any way, having a bigger card available in the market will for sure make all others drop price =)

When you go into Card Status on the Card Functions menu... it show "SD STANDARD" "SUPPORTED"
thats why i thought you might need a firmware update.
It'll be interesting to see if these cards will be call SDXC and also if they'll work with no update... Fat32 compatibility is a good point, Honestly i don't know (i guess it could go either way)

Interesting article...

One issue with increasing the number of bits per memory cell, the number of erase/write cycles per memory cell is reduced. Now, there had been improvements in flash technology, for example, many of the new chips from Microchip (a microcontroller company) have increased the maximum number of cycles from 100,000 to 1,000,000. So, maybe the new technology will have that improvement too.

By the way, 4 bits per cell is 16 different levels, very impressive!
