New 5600mah DVXuser Batteries now shipping.

I think it's great for you to offer these. I just ordered mine. I got tired of waiting for the free Panny 5400mah-from the rebate. We had a short job last weekend, our first one with the DVX, couldn't plug in anywhere, and the tiny starter battery wasn't cutting it :-) .

One more question... I'll probably want a good but not costly mike... bang for the buck sort of thing... can you recommend a good shotgun type mike to start off with...

...yeah, I know... I should research on mikes... but sound equiptment is greek to me... and your advice could help me get started.

Hey, I got two batteries a few weeks ago... they work great, but one of them isn't charging... It has not charged since I received it.... The other one is fine... any suggestions?
 
If you got the old model (well not that old) but where the plate and the body are the same color (blue) then you gotta really push it on the charger for the first time... it will make a click, we made them tight to help when they are on the camera. IF you have the Grey bottom ones with the blue body, we made em a little looser.
 
I know this isn't new or a surprise to anyone, but I did want to give Jarred props for just how frickin professional and great his service was.

I ordered the double battery pack and upon receipt of it I got one DVXuser batt and one JVC batt (apparently by mistake). But we communicated great through email, and corrected the error. He's even going to reimburse the shipping cost for me to send back the JVC batt. Man, I wish there were more accessories I could buy from Jarred.

Thanks so much for your help man, and I really look forward to using the batts on my future shoots. They'll make things a lot easier and hopefully make me some money :-). I'll definitely endorse any commercial regarding these batts. But okay, enough is enough for now.

Man, after reading all this great feedback, these batteries (and your service) are really starting to sound sweet. Are you still giving out shirts with the two-pack? I thought I read that you stopped giving those out on the 28th...

I just picked up a DVXUser battery and I love it. I ordered from EVS, though, because I figured that Jarred has enough going on right now. I didn't need to throw that at him, too.:thumbsup:
 
yes free shirts are still kicking, i just got a huge box of em made up.

And thanks Horse, the days of me getting the batteries out 3 weeks late is pretty much behind me (knock on wood) now that Deb is helping out with that side of things.
 
Cool. I know you're working on a lot of things right now (ZombieFest t-shirts, DVDs and actually making money shooting ****.) I just didn't want to be one of those guys who were complaining about not getting their batteries in 30 minutes or less like it's a freaking pizza.
