As for the Phantom 30v power.....well....I'll just have to find out for myself since m-audio thinks it's sufficient to power most mics while saving on battery power.

Hmmm... just be sure to read the list of compatible microphones... I've heard stories of the MicroTrack phantom power destroying expensive mics. Hope the unit works out well for you!
