New 2009 Director's Reel

I think you have done a really great job in the edit here and seems like some good stuff in there. The only issue for me is its a Directors reel and it doesnt come across as one, edits are too fast generally to get a feel for shots, acting etc. Just my 2c. Really sweet edit though.

Thanks.. yeah I realize it's a bit of a quick-paced montage. I suppose context plays a bit of a role. See, I have the reel playing above the rest of my videos HERE so it generally acts more as a teaser to the rest of the videos. Something to get people interested in seeing the rest of my work.

I totally agree though that it's not much of a standalone Director's reel.. in that it goes by too fast.

I also do my own post production on all the videos, so hopefully that part is showcased well in this edit :-)
 
Got it and that works nicely.

If someone were to ask you for a "Directors reel" on DVD or other, I might be inclined to have another version.

This is an oddity to me in the forum of late. You posted this up, 112 something views and Im the only one to comment? Seems strange ...
