They accept orders and take credit card numbers even though they don't even have the product like they claim. Then they just wait till you call and say sorry...we don't have it... complete BULL!$*#

sorry to hear about your experience :(

I have nothing but good experiences with them. I think I have ordered at least 5 things with no problem and speedy delivery.
Even the 5D battery which when it came out was impossible to find extras anywhere ... they found me two within 3 weeks.

Dude it's gotten worse and worse... I've contacted them about 5 other products from their website that they ended up not actually having... and have sold as much as a week ago... and the guy let slip that one of computers that they had listed as a DEMO model was actually a computer the marketing department had been using for I don't know how many years and they had it listed as demo... as if it sat on display, not being used as a business computer everyday for the last 7 years... that is misleading and probably illegal... I am boycotting this shady establishment from now one and encourage everyone to do the same, or a least just buy from B&H in the states as it is always waaaaaay cheaper, even with exchange rates.

Go to Downtown Camera in Toronto, best prices for DSLR gear. I wish I had found out about it sooner, I buy everything from there now.

you have a consumer right to demand your money back if they don't deliver the goods as sold/advertised? I'm sure they will somehow manage to find those items if you do this, or get your money back at least. win win situation?

haha ... the more you say the less I believe.

What 5 items ?? show the listings.

Well, I've just ordered two items from Vistek because quite frankly its inconvenient for me to drive downtown or to Missisauga (here in Ontario) for the products. Sometimes I can't wait for B&H or the shipping is too much. I hate the in-store customer service however, as they are all rather pretentious.

I do have a business account setup there and it seems to make the process a little smoother. There are definitely other places I would prefer to order from, but aside from what Matthew mentioned (Downtown Camera), we don't have a whole lot to work with here...

unfortunately all true... the web listings don't matter because it says you can buy them, thats the point... they don't actually have the items listed... in any event I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything in the long run, just venting frustration and stating I will not be shopping there anymore.

Sean, I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. Your description about your experience here is a little vague, please email me your information so that I may investigate this more throughly. I'd be happy to help.

I just cancelled an order with Vistek too. Both items I ordered showed as "In Stock" on the website when I ordered, yet the shipment (although "Approved") sat for days with no movement. I emailed to find out what was going on and received an email link to the updated order page which now showed "Out of Stock". Very disappointing.

In this day and age, an Internet vendor should bloody well have real-time inventory and a true stock count available for customers.

Cheers,

simon, that's exactly what happened to me, on 6 different computers... and they talked to me like I was crazy to think that a real-time system inventory should be in effect. They have an archaic system and then they talk down to you like you have unreal expectations... no good.

Everytime i go to toronto branch it fells like i'd get smashed in the head or kicked in the nuts IE specially by rental department.
They give you this feeling that you're piece of **** and wasting their time.
Yes i agree with all commenters here that they're way over-priced.
on sales department you can't find anybody who can take care of you. sometimes very few staff on floor or they're too busy with their computers.

There are better options in town. i suggest everybody to look for different businesses.
