Never Heard - Short Film

I shot this short video in New York on a DVX100a w/ M2 Lense adapter.

This is the first scene of a feature film I would like to eventually complete.
The story can be a bit hard to understand, specially without seeing the full feature.
But the main idea should be graspable.

I'm curious to know what you all think.

Happy Holidays everyone.

i really like the idea and where its going, the idea where he can hear only select things is good, for the most part i liked the angles and cinematography but i thought there was a couple of shots that were bland and could have been a little tighter ie some shots with extra negative space behind the actor. I really like the shot of him sitting in the tub, and how it started out of focus and revealed. o and i really like the last shot in the film with the blood on the table, it definitely leaves it open for some more. I think it would have been cool if you would have showed the guy and the girl earlier on in a shot or two to bring them into the film then jump back to the main actor leaving the viewer curious about how the couple will be brought into the film. Other than my thoughts i liked it, watched it all the way through, which is a good sign.

*applause*......really liked this. Are u the writer or just dp? colour grading very well don IMO. story was realy good.i definately could use some more so a featute wudnt be bad...it can stand up on its own as iz though. And its not hard to understand i think....oh and i saw the camera man in the glass in one of the pics on the wall on the steadycam looking shot backing up from the bedroom :D. anyway....i really liked this . good job!

edit: kudos 2 the lead also.

I wish you had uploaded it as 1280 x 720.
Everything else was perfect, loved every aspect of it.
Amazing job. Great acting, the script could have been better constructed.
The idea behind it all was unique and it kept me hooked, this short stands apart from anything else I've seen here on dvxuser.

Ya eh ? Oh well, I'll make a another film for that contest. I've been without internet for awhile so I'm not up to date on the contest, but I'll check it out. Thank you for the feedback everyone, I'm re-shooting this on HD so this is all very helpful.

Happy Boxing Day

That was nice. I also watched it the whole way through. I'm beginning to think it's a personal preference, but I would have liked some higher contrast in some areas.

What mm lenses did you use? Looked like 100 or higher?
