will there ever be a DVX bootcamp in los angeles or is it all hvx from now on?

If never, has anyone ever taken dov simens 2 day film school and is it a good thing or a waste of time? Guy Ritchie says "enlightening", Tarantino "Inspirational", Will Smith "superb", Queen Latifa "Bad-Ass training" - I mean, if Queen Latifa and Tarantino say its cool then...........is this a joke? is it just another LA scam school or legit and worth it?

I've taken it. I liked it. Some people don't because Dov can be a bit loud and obnoxious at times. Basically he cuts out all the bullshit and tells it to you like it is. He got his start with Roger Corman.
 
If there was a dvx bootcamp I would go but I'm not going to stone anybody for not getting one. Of course I should have went to the HVX bootcamp
 
The HVX BootCamp is a very specific type of seminar, since the HVX itself is so new and, for many, rather intimidating.

There have been talks about holding a DVX-oriented seminar, but of a different style. There will be announcements shortly.
 
And on that note barry I see your off to NZ... why not take a Japan Airlines flight and pass through Japan? :P

a DVX bootcamp, seminar, conference call, powerpoint presentation, pow-wow, whatever would be a godsend to myself and everyone else longing to learn the ways of this amazing and overwhelming machine. help from the Jedi Council on the "old school" DVX will help us keep this decrepid machine alive so as to not let the HVX revolution take over.

Agree with everything you say. I just picked up a 100B this week after following this site and others for some time. I would love to spend some time with the pros, camera in hand, to learn some of their tricks. (Based in LA.)
 
I would really, really, really like a DVX bootcamp in L.A. I'd sign up today. There are still a lot of people buying the DVX but most of the attention is on the HVX.

I bet you would get a lot of people for this. Just tell me where and when in L.A. area and I'm there.
