Netflix Instant Watch: What are you watching?

Canada had a free 30 day Netflix tryout dingy thing so I started to sign up for it until they asked for my credit card. They said I could cancel anytime.

Sure. So I logged out at that point.

Funny, they keep sending me emails asking me to 'whatever' and I never even signed up with them. I canceled it. But they still bug me.

So what am I watching? lol. I watch Justin.tv. It's free man.

Hey.

speaking of canada, i feel bad for you guys with the new 25gb monthly internet cap. if someone does stream a lot of movies they are going to burn through that real quick, especially if it's in HD.

My policy is a 24gb per month for $55 roughly. BUT, we had an unlimited before for the same price so they gave me 60gb which so far is just about right.
Funny thing is, my policy sais 24gb with an extension to 60 gb, whatever the heck that means. I think it means, for 'now' I get 60 gb , but as soon as I renew, if I have to, I get 24 limit. Who knows. Crooks I say. Crooks. But for now, 60 gig at $55/month is what I pay. Let's not talk about over charges at $2/gig.

60g works for me. If I have to up or download more, I charge the clients. That's basically it.

Hey.

I gave Tender Mercies a try last night after hearing such great things about it for years. It's easily the most boring film I've seen in recent years. I tried to hold on, but I gave up after an hour.

Black Snake Moan was on my suggested watch list for a couple of weeks now. Finally decided to give up and watch it disregarding the trailer. Glad I did. If you're not too prudish, it's like a blues song come to life and committed to film.

I know I was the last one to post on this thread but...

Ink was absolutely fantastic. I'd call it a modern-day fairytale with a sci-fi twist. Surprisingly deep, surreal, and well done indie film. It's a bit slow to start, but stick through it and you'll be rewarded.

@Luis - Exam reminded me a lot of the old canadian film Cube (the first one, not the sequels)

Party Down--I finally found a television series I like everything about and keeps me laughing every episode; too bad it was cancelled after only two seasons. Do yourselves a favor and catch it on 'instant queue'.

Watching Muy Thai Giant.

Its kind of one of those amazing/terrible films.....

Edit: more terrible than anything.....

Great thread Jason as I have just caught on to this net flix intant watch.

The first thing I watched was the very first TV pilot of the incredible hulk. This is when tv was good to me. althoug looking back at some of these shows the effects look so cheesy but the stories were well written.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension!

Who else has a fondness for this daffy bit of bizzaro 80's cinema? How can you not like a movie about a physicist/neurosurgeon/daredevil/samurai/rock-star! The Frankenstein of a plot is about a race of aliens form Planet 10 who escaped from their multi-dimensional prison and are trying to get back home. It's up to Buckaroo to stop them, or the alien overlords from Planet 10 will annihilate the earth. Sounds like the greatest movie ever, right? It stars Peter Weller, Ellen Barkin (at her absolute hottest), and a veritable who's who of 80's character actors--

Jeff Goldblum
Clancy Brown
Christopher Lloyd
Vincent Schiavelli
John Ashton
Lewis Smith
Pepe Serna
Yakov Smirnoff

and of course, the cherry on the cheese sundae, John Lithgow in an inspired bit of Italian/Alien lunacy as the evil Dr. Lizardo. Caught it on Netflix in HD last night, a surprisingly good transfer. I must have watched this film 20 times on VHS when I was a kid as I remembered almost every single part of it. I'm not going to lie and say this is a great film, but it's the very definition of a cult movie. I'm still waiting on Buckaroo Banzai VS. The World Crime League.

Just started watching Pulp Fiction last night. About 45 minutes in, great so far. The plot is basic, but the dialogue and acting make it intriguing.
