Netflix Instant Watch: What are you watching?

the girl with the dragon tattoo
the girl who played with fire

These were my 2 "favorite movies of the year"... My wife got me to watch "the girl with the dragon tattoo" because she read the books... Really glad she did, got hooked. Awesome movies and looking forward to the last of the trilogy. I for one love foreign movies...

Just saw a great little indie film on Netflix recently:

Exam

It's every indie filmmakers ideal concept - 8 people in 1 room, 90 minutes real time.
Saw it by chance when we ran across it in the recommendations - summary sounded interesting enough, and we were pleasantly surprised.
It's not going to change the cinematic landscape - but I think a lot of you would find it entertaining and interesting, if for no other reason than to see what can be done with one location and a handful of actors.

I've mentioned it to a few friends and it seems no one has heard of it, which surprises me.
Check it out.

the girl who kicked the hornet's nest

became available for streaming today. just a head's up for anyone that watched the first two.

Just watched Eyeborgs with Adrian Paul for no other reason than that some of the people who appear in our Lighting and Sound DVDs are in it.

Sounds great- gonna check it out. If it passed your magnified scrutiny, Luis, it should be good! ;^)

Just checked it out tonight. I really dug it.

thanks luis. for whatever reason, i'm a sucker for any kind of movie that involves a group of strangers in a room that they have to get out of (or in this case, stay in).

I watched Exam a couple weeks ago and thought it was a really good flick.
I just felt they could have worked on/came up with a better "solution".

I could explain more but for obvious reasons I wont.

A few nights ago, we watched The Maze. It's by no means a great flick, but I enjoyed it.

I tend to dig low budget movies, so this worked for me.

I made my wife watch the Robocop with me. She had never seen it. Awesome. Love seeing the dad from That 70's Show as the bad guy.

So far, my favorite instant play that I've seen is "City Island" starring Andy Garcia. Good indie comedy/drama. Just a good movie.

The one thing I enjoyed about it was that I thought they did a great job of keeping the film visually interesting given the limitations of shooting in one room.
There were a lot of good (and motivated) changes to the look... granted they weren't always extreme, but different enough to keep you from getting too visually bored.

Canada had a free 30 day Netflix tryout dingy thing so I started to sign up for it until they asked for my credit card. They said I could cancel anytime.

Sure. So I logged out at that point.

Funny, they keep sending me emails asking me to 'whatever' and I never even signed up with them. I canceled it. But they still bug me.

So what am I watching? lol. I watch Justin.tv. It's free man.

Hey.
