Netbook?

I got one of those or actually an 1101HA for my dad. Windows and Office work fine but I wouldn´t even think of installing Premiere Pro. Playing back a 720p file is about the peak of its performance.
 
Most Netbooks use inexpensive Intel Atom CPU's which are much slower than Intel's Core 2 or i-series chips.

Is an i-series chip more powerful than Intel's Core 2 in any case?
