Nesting in FCE

Does anyone know how to nest video tracks in FCE? You know, combine multiple tracks into one. I've read the manual on the CD but found those instructions to be no help whatsoever.

Re: Nesting in FCE

Other than the "Nest Items" command in the Sequence pull-down menu?

Select the stuff you want to nest, then choose "Nest Items". A nested clip will replace your selection, and a new sequence will be created to let you work within the "nest".

Re: Nesting in FCE

There is no "nest items" in the sequence pull-down menu. Make sure you don't confuse FCP with FCE. I'm using Express.

Re: Nesting in FCE

Soooo...no one knows how to nest tracks in FCE? On the box it says "with nesting, you can have a virtually unlimited number of video tracks." Sadly, there is no "nest items" command in any of the menus and the manual is no help either.

Re: Nesting in FCE

1)Create a sequence
2)Add desired media/tracks to sequence
3)Create a 2nd sequence
4)Drag 1st sequence onto 2nd sequence's timeline
