Neoscene trouble, please help!

So I have footage that was done in 720/30p. I convert it in neoscene and it plays twice the speed it should. I even tried converting to 24p in neoscene and it still plays twice as fast. When I bring the clips into premiere, it reads as a frame rate of 59.94 fps. I know for a fact that i recorded in 30p. What gives? Anyone know what's going on here???

I have no idea "what's going on here" -- we dumped all Cineform products months ago -- after they sent me a personal note telling me they'd be ready for CS4 in "a few days" and four months later they still weren't compatible with CS4.

That being said -- the best I can offer is -- right click on the video clip(s) in the Project panel -- select "Interpret Footage" -- at the very top check the option "Interpret Frame Rate" and then enter "29.97"

In theory, that should fix the problem you describe. But, that's just a guess to resolve a problem I haven't encountered.

Good luck!

I suspect this is because the 30p is not native. It is wrapped in a 60i container (i.e. each progress frame is duplicated). You may be able to correct this in your NLE (I use Vegas and can correct it there). I don't use 30p and have not tried this - but you may be able to "fix" this in NeoScene by telling it to output 30p (it's in the configuration screen). The 30p output is designed to take normal 60i footage and deinterlace it to 30p output, but is should work with the 60i wrapped 30p that the HMC cameras produce.
