NeoScene doesn't work with HMC-150?

Hey, I know this site is filled with transcoding preferences and various work flows, but I wanted to post some things I am going through.

I will admit first, I'm somewhat of a video newbie. I am a graphic designer / recording engineer who was interested in the free lance world of video making.

I just did my first 'project' for pay a few weeks ago. I bought NeoScene (HDlink) to convert all my AVCHD files to edit in Adobe Premiere (which I've had success with the trail of this NeoScene)

For some reason, NeoScene could not convert any of my larger files (100mb +) so I contacted customer service.

After a few solutions, a remote desktop session, and sending my files out to them to have them test em out... they concluded:

Jake Segraves, Jun-06 01:30 pm (PDT):Our engineers are looking at this and its looking more and more like we're just not going to be able to support this camera because the MainConcept components we use are not able to determine the framerate. I told him that its able to do fine on smaller files, but i wanted to confirm that with you. Does NeoScene convert the smaller/shorter files at the proper framerate?

After that I noticed that it converted my files (30fps) to 60 fps...

With all this being said, my question is this:

What is the (one of the) best alternative(s) to using NeoScene for AVCHD transocding when editing in Adobe Premiere on a Windows machine?

Unless Cineform changed something I've used Neo Scene with my 150 and never had a problem.

Try Adobe Media Encoder to transcode to Cineform AVI's [bypassing HD Link] and see if that works,

I pulled open Media Encoder and cannot find the option to transcode to Cineform AVI. After doing some research, I figured it was because I no longer have NeoScene installed (deactivated my copy and requested a refund from them.)

Is there any comparable alternatives within Adobe Media Encoder?

interesting- I have both the 150 and neoscene and have not had any issues. Have you posted this over at:

this forum is closely watched by David Newman the CTO of Cineform (now known as GoPro I guess)

Can you host your .mts file somewhere so I can download it and try it with my NeoScene?

You can transcode to AVC-Intra for free using Media Encoder.
