Need to squish a stretch

I recorded a video with my DVX and used the widescreen setting (letterbox). I used log and capture in FCP and now it looks like it is squished top top bittom and pulled at sides. How do I get it to look right?

Go through all the clips in your browser and de-select "Anamorphic."

If you shoot letterbox again, just make sure your capture settings do not include the anamorphic tag.
 
In your browser... where you see all your clips, bins, sequences, etc. listed. Scroll to the right to see the other settings for each clip. Eventually, you'll see a column labeled "Anamorphic" with checks for any clip that has that tag. Simply click the check mark to remove.

Also, make sure that you aren't dropping your clips into an anamorphic sequence.
