Need to know what you think

I need some input on how this looks. Everyone at my Church loves what I am doing, but since I want things to look and sound to the best of my ability and beyond I thought I would bring it here. This is about 32 minutes long and obviously, unless you want to, you do not need to view the whole thing. The main camera is my HMC40 ( the up close view) which captures the audio from the church board into mine. Settings are 720p60 with shutter at 30. The wide anlge shot is my HDC-HS250 the HA setting 1080 of course with shutter at 60. At about 10:24 in the video it has some text overlay and then goes from the HMC40 to HS250 view. The lights over the pulpit are yellowish hence the change in coloring on the Pastor when he steps to either side. We are in hopes to put different lights there.

To me, the HMC40 shots look great, the wide angles not so much. At the very least, you should see if you can dial down the color saturation on the HS250 and work a little more on balancing the color between them. As you say, you should make sure the color of the lights is the same across the width of the stage. I think the overall composition could be improved if the closeup camera (the HMC40) were more straight out in front of the pulpit and the HS250 used for wide shots was off to one side. I'd also (personal style here) frame the shots of the pastor closer and be ready to pan and tilt the camera a bit more to follow his movements. Right now it has a kind of mechanical, locked-down feeling that gets a little dull after awhile.

The head-worn microphone is a fine choice for this kind of audio and you certainly got a good clear recording of the pastor's voice. I can think of little that would improve that. There is not a great sense of space or "air" in the audio in the room due to the very close mic'ing, but I'm not sure it really matters that much in this kind of coverage, and you've certainly nailed the main priority of getting the speaker's voice without too many audio distractions. I assume the mics we see on the rack in the background are also wired into the board and would be used when you had other speakers, singers or musicians on the stage -- it would probably work well, although I didn't sit through the whole piece to see if they were used at any point.

Thanks for the input Greg, it is much appreciated. The HMC40 is going to be straight on the pulpit once we run a cable through the floor from the mixer to that location. I don't want to run a cable across the floor all the time and have someone, mostly the kids, possibly trip on it. The oversaturation in the video posted may have been becuase...welll I saturated it more in post LOL. I noticed that the color in the plants either side of the pulpit where not that close even so I saturated it more. The HS250 is mostly there so if someone walks in front of HMC40 i can swap views or I am writing down a reference and I look back and Pastor is out of the view. I do have some reverb on his audio but I try not to add to much as when he hits it hard it is overwhelming. When I had none the lack of space as you said was annoying. Maybe I can turn the verb up some and use a post limiter or compressor to see if that helps keep it resonable, or a different setting. Have to play with it. Thanks again.
